INFINITI QX55 vs Acura RDX
When you pit the 2022 INFINITI QX55 and the 2022 Acura RDX against each other, how do they measure up? They’re both upscale luxury crossovers that many drivers around Jacksonville, Orange Park, and Green Cove Springs would relish driving, but which one should you buy?
Our team at Atlantic INFINITI is here to present both sides of the story to see which one tips the scales.

Both the INFINITI QX55 and the Acura RDX carry similar engines with a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that produces 280 lb-ft of torque. The QX55 provides you with a Continuously Variable Transmission, while the RDX gives you a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) comes standard in the INFINITI QX55, and you can get Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ in the Acura RDX. With AWD, the INFINITI QX55 achieves an EPA-estimated 22 city/28 highway MPG, while the Acura RDX achieves an EPA-estimated 21 city/27 highway MPG.1
When it comes to dashboard entertainment and connectivity, the INFINITI QX55 and the Acura both offer upgraded 16-speaker audio systems. Plus, with a Wi-Fi Hotspot in each car, you can connect several devices in total. Both provide you with Apple CarPlay®, leaving both models just about equal in the infotainment department.
Multiple safety and driver-assist systems occupy both crossovers, but the differences surface when examining standard and available features. For example, Blind Spot Warning comes standard with optional Blind Spot Intervention® in the INFINITI QX55, while the Acura only offers a single blind spot information system.
Also, both Rear Automatic Braking and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are equipped in every INFINITI QX55 trim. An available Rear Cross Traffic Monitor can be found in the Acura, but Rear Automatic Braking is not available. You’ll be able to add Traffic Sign Recognition to either the INFINITI QX55 or Acura RDX for added confidence on the open road.
Many amenities emerge in both cars, but you do receive more upscale features in the INFINITI QX55. For instance, you’ll have the standard 2-driver memory system with the opportunity to upgrade to climate-controlled seating. For individual temperature settings, look toward the available Tri-Zone Automatic Temperature Control system for personalized adjustability.
Heated and ventilated front sport seats are also available in the Acura, but its Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control system doesn’t offer the same versatile comfort for everyone on board. The folks in the back of the INFINITI QX55 will thank you while they enjoy optimal comfort at all times.
In the matchup between the 2022 INFINITI QX55 and the 2022 Acura RDX, you’ll find more standard and upscale features in the INFINITI QX55.
