INFINITI QX80 Maintenance Schedule

First Standard Maintenance Appointment: 7,500 Miles

The standard maintenance intervals for the 2022 INFINITI QX80 are about every 7,500 miles or six months, whichever comes first. If your vehicle requires more severe maintenance, though (based on specific driving conditions), the intervals will be more frequent at 5,000 miles.

For the first standard maintenance visit, there are only two things the technicians will need to do for your vehicle. The first is to replace the engine oil and filter. The second is to rotate the tires. By completing these two tasks, your SUV should be good until service is needed at the 15,000-mile mark.

QX80 Maintenance: 15,000 Miles

When your 2022 QX80 reaches 15,000 miles on the odometer or 12 months, the above tasks will need to be completed. However, this time, you’ll also be inspecting the following components:

• Brake lines, cables, pads, and rotors
• Differential gear oil
• Propeller shaft (4-wheel drive, or 4WD, models)
• Transfer case oil (4WD models)
• Drive shaft boots (4WD models)

The in-cabin microfilter will need to be replaced as well, and the propeller shaft grease will need to be lubricated (the latter applies to 4WD models only).

Further Inspections: 30,000 Miles

After two years have passed or your INFINITI QX80 odometer reaches 30,000 miles, it’ll be time for the next maintenance appointment.

For the most part, you’re following the same schedule as the 15,000-mile appointment. More components will need to be looked over, though, including:

• Fuel tank vapor vent system hoses
• Fuel lines/connections
• Exhaust system
• Steering gear and linkage
• Axle and suspension parts

The brake fluid should be replaced during this time, as well. Additionally, the engine air filter will need to be replaced. If you frequently drive in dusty conditions, though, more maintenance on the engine may be needed.

Replace Specific Key Parts: 45,000 Miles

When an additional year or an extra 15,000 miles have passed, a new maintenance appointment is needed.

The main difference this time is that a few components will be replaced in your QX80. The engine oil and filter will be changed out, as usual, as will the in-cabin microfilter. However, the Intelligent Key battery will now also have to be replaced. This is so you can save your seat’s memory position plus the last used audio and climate control settings.

Next Unique Maintenance Appointment: 105,000 Miles

The standard maintenance intervals then continue on in pretty much that same pattern. The biggest difference comes after 105,000 miles or seven years.

This is where the engine coolant will get replaced for the first time. After that, it should be replaced after every 75,000 miles or five years (whichever comes first). The spark plugs will also need to be replaced during this service.

Finally, the engine drive belts will need to be inspected to make sure they’re in peak condition.
