Why Is Motor Oil Important?

Time for an Oil Change?

When it comes to your INFINITI vehicle, you will want to change the oil for every 7,500 miles to 10,000 miles. If you are unsure of how long it has been since your last change, though, there are some signs and symptoms you can look out for. First and foremost, if your car has an oil light, it will signal when it is time for a change.

To check the health of your oil, you can also pop your hood and remove the dipstick. If the dipstick shows oil that is dark and dirty, it’s time for a change.

Completing Your Oil Change

When it is time to change your oil, we’ll be able to do so quickly at our service center. In order to move through the service in an efficient and effective manner, we’ll follow the steps below.

1. First, we’ll raise the vehicle up via a lift so we can access the oil pan. With access to the pan, we’ll remove the drain plugs and let the old oil drain out.
2. Once the oil has drained, we’ll remove the old oil filter.
3. From there, the car will be ready to have a new oil filter inserted and have its drain plugs restored.
4. Then, all that remains is putting new oil in and checking for leaks.

Just like that, your oil change will be completed!
